A New Year

It’s already a new year & I hope everyone got into the new year carefully & had a very festive time, I sure did! As this is my first post of 2016, so why not celebrate the new year & a new beginning by looking back at 2015!

I must admit my 2015 started very stressfull, I started the year by writing the last part of my master thesis & at the same time I worked a full time job. That was such a hard time for me, I got panic attacks & I could eat or sleep properly through the end. I’m actually very proud of making it through & passing my master thesis with a good grade, cause there were many times where I just wanted to quit everything. I didn’t & I’m now a layer. 2015 is also the year where I got promoted at work & I’m currently being trained in my new position

I started my blog in 2014 but 2015 was the year I finally got the hang of it, I’m still enjoying it as much as when I started & my blog has this year made me work with some amazing people & brands, some opportunities I really appreciate. Furthermore I have visited some really fun locations such as this pumpkin field, it was really fun seeing how pumpkin grows & use this location for an autumn photoshoot, I also shoot at an abandoned factory for a fashion shoot.

There was also some changes in 2015, two of my friends had babies. This little one is Nando he is the son of my longest & one of my best friends. He is around 6 or 7 months now, he is such a cute & lovely baby. I visited them a few days before the New Year & I was meet by a very smiling & laughing baby boy, he was so joyful & I was even babysitting him for around 10 minuts. I can’t wait to see him grow up, spoil him & be a part of his life as auntie Mille.

I was also so lucky to go back & visit my favourite city London. In May I went for the 5th time & spent a good 4 days in London with a friend. I have always loved London & that is why in 2 days I’ll be going back again for 4 days. So if you’re in London & want to grab a cup of coffee, let me know 🙂

This year has also been a personal journey for me, I have never been a very open & outgoing person, I’ve always been a little bit shy. After I started blogging I have changed a lot, I have learned to put myself more out there & just doing what I like & not think of what other people think if they don’t know me. It’s all about being happy yourself & love what you are doing.
I’ve also starting to get a bit more comfortable in front of the camera, I’m not completely comfortable yet (but baby steps right?), so for now my favourite place IS behind the camera.
This year I have also gotten to talk & meet some other fellow bloggers, I’m so glad to have gotten to know some new people & I love how lovely the blogger community is!

Though it’s mostly been a good year, there has also been a bit of sorrow, 2015 was the year, where unfortunately I had to say goodbye to this little one. It was way to early she was only 6 years old, but I know she is better now! Animals bring so much joy when alive & so much sorrow when they are gone. RIP

So that was a little look back on my year 2015, I have never been a person who has New Years resolutions & this year is no exception.
So instead of making New Year resolutions, I just have some hopes for 2016.
I hope that I’m going to meet some more new people, I also hope that I’ll continue blogging, as it looks now I won’t stop any time soon! I hope that it’s going to be a bit easier at work in 2016, cause right now it is a bit stressfull & I hope that I can make it not affect me as much, cause you can only do one persons job & not 3.
I also hope that 2016 is the year that I’m going to launch my Youtube channel, cause that is something that I really want to do, but I keep making up excuses not to do so (such as english isn’t my native tongue)!
Finally I hope that some would keep reading my blog & I want to say thank you to all who has read along in 2015.

Basically my hopes for 2016 is just that it is going to be a good year with most joy & not to much sorrow, so what are your hopes for 2016?

Remember that one factor to help make it a good year is YOU!

Take Care
Mille ♥
