I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas with all your loved ones, I have had a very lovely christmas, I’ve been relaxing, watching a lot of films & eating a lot of food & chocolate, so lets just say, that I’m in no need for big meals at the moment.
I spent Christmas Eve with my patents & granddad, we celebrate Christmas Eve in Denmark & not Christmas morning, because it is only us 4, it is a very quiet & relaxing Christmas Eve.
I prefer a nice & quiet Christmas Eve, but even though I’m 27 I still find myself being a bit impatience when it comes to Christmas Eve, I’m always looking forward to giving my presents but also to see my presents & all the amazing food.
Cause I don’t have that much family left, we don’t really go to any Christmas dinners through the Christmas days, I remember when I was a kid, we always went to my grandparents house the day after Christmas Eve & for Christmas Dinner at my Dad’s aunts house.
I must admit, I’m fine with not going anywhere, cause I love that you can just enjoy the holiday break & just walk round in casual clothes all day, relaxing & watching films if that is what you want! This year I was especially in need for some relaxing time!
I love Christmas Eve but after we stopped going to my grandparents the day after Christmas Eve, my parents & I have build our own little tradition, which I’m actually looking more forward to than Christmas Eve. On the day after Christmas Eve, we always get brunch in the morning & then we play board games & watch films all day long.
We have this traditional film we always watch the day after Christmas Eve, when I was a kid the television always showed “Home alone”, the day after Christmas Eve & I remember that we always saw it while eating dinner, so now it is a tradition for us to watch that film & I don’t even know for how many years we have watched that film, it just brings back so many lovely memories.
I would love to hear about your Christmas traditions & what your favourite things about Christmas Eve/Morning. Also I want to say sorry for my lacking of Blogmas this year – I just need a little blogging break.
I’m back from my parents house now & I’m just spending the next couple of days before new years getting some things done. On Thursday I’m going to another annual tradition, a comedy show with a mixture of all the best Danish comedians, it’s called Comedy Aid & it’s a show made for a good cause, they donate the money form the shows to danish children in need, I think this year they are helping kids that are being bullied.
I just want to wish you all a happy holiday & I see you soon.
Ps – I made a Facebook site for my blog, go like it here
