Last week I went to the cinema with my friend, it was for an arrangement called “Girls night”. It has kinda become a tradition for us to go to these “Girls nights” at the cinema. This time was the third time we went
“Girls night” is an arrangement at the cinema, where they show a film, mostly a film for girls. The first two films we saw at this arrangement were “The other woman” & “Sex tapes” both of them were with Cameron Diaz.
Before the film starts there are drinks, food, competitions, Goodie bags & some entertainment.
This time the film they show was REALLY for the girls, it was “Magic Mike – XXL”, so trust me, there was a very good atmosphere in the cinema, even before the film started;)
As per usual there were some competitions before the film started, but I didn’t win anything! The funny thing about this competition was, that the cinema is mostly filled with girls, but there is always a guy or two. This time one of the prices was a clutch & guess who won it a guy! TYPICAL – but I figure he was there with his girlfriend, who is now a clutch owner!
The entertainment this time was the danish version of Magic Mike, so that meat 3 boys dancing & taking off their shirts – you figure that it would get a cinema filled with girls in the right mood for Channing Tatum without his shirt on;) It did there was a lot of screaming.
There was also a Goodie Bag & I must say that the Goodie Bag this time was the absolute best. It was from Pieces & filled with things from them. I’m gonna show you in my next post what was in it!
So now back to the film “Magic Mike – XXL” (No spoilers I promise), I must admit I only said yes to go with my friend, because it’s kind of a tradition, not because of the film, so I went there with very low expectations for the film.
The reason why my expectations weren’t very high was because I gave up watching the first “Magic Mike”, I thought it was a bit boring & a bit to serious.
Now I must admit that this sequel surprised me in a good way, it was actually a good film. It wasn’t too serious & had some very funny scenes in it. I don’t know if it was because I had low expectations, but I really liked it & was very entertained.
It isn’t like the big story/drama, but if you just see it for what it is & not take it to seriously, you’ll be very entertained! I liked that it was more a fun film rather than a serious film & then there’s stille the fact that a film with Channing Tatum (the other actors weren’t bad either) without a shirt on isn’t a bad thing at all;)
I’m definitely gonna see it again…
So overall it was a very good night & a good film, I’ll recommend it.
Have any of you seen it yet, if so what did you think?
Stay tuned to see what was in the Goodie Bag.
