Yesterday it was Halloween, I have never really celebrated Halloween, not that I don’t like it, but when I was a kid we didn’t have halloween in Denmark. Instead when I was a kid we celebrated a danish tradition in february where you dress up in costumes.
I think Halloween is getting adapted into the danish tradition more & more each year & I like Halloween & I kind of celebrated Halloween this year!
I didn’t celebrate Halloween in the traditional way, so I didn’t dress up in a costume or go to a party, instead I had a Halloween night at home.
My friend came over to my apartment in the afternoon & then we just had a Hallowen horror film night, I put madnesses in my livingroom & bought a lot of Halloween candy (it’s okay to be childish sometimes), so it was kind of a cosy Halloween horror film night;)
She’s the only one of my fiends that likes horror films like me, I have always been a major horror film fan, but non of my friends are! Unfortunately I don’t watch that many horror films anymore, because I live on my own & some of them are a pretty scary!
Last night we watched 3 films:
A remake from 2015,
it was good, but I like the original one from 1982 better, the remake was a bit over the top, but it was still good. I think they try to make remakes more scary than the originals ones, but sometimes they shouldn’t.
Sorority Row –
This one is from 2009,
I was a really good film, but not so scary, you don’t get many shocks. I think you can compare it to the scream films.
The Hitcher –
I’ve actually seen this one before, but I couldn’t remember it, it is a really good horror film, with a good plot & shock effects.
These were the three ones we watched, they were all good & I think is was a really nice way to celebrate Halloween. There is nothing better than film nights with friends.
I’ll love to hear how you celebrated your Halloween & as the horror film fan that I am, I love to hear if you have any recommends on horror films worth watching?
