Monday Music

I don’t think there is anything better than Music, I love listening to Music & the thing about Music is that you can find some that fits every mood you’re in! When it comes to Music I like a lot of different genres, but I have a weakness for Music that has a edgy/rock/Pop sound. The best thing is to discover new Music & todays post is about an artist & her music I recently discovered & think it is amazing.

I discovered Mindy’s Music, when we started talking on Twitter & I visited her website www.mindybraasch.com to listen to her Music. The Music Mindy makes has a Pop/Rock sound. I like all her songs, but there are especially two songs I’m crazy about! She has made a cover of “Say Something” by A Great Big World (Feat Christina Aguilera), honestly I never really liked that song, but I’m absolutely crazy with Mindy’s version, I think she sings it with so much feeling, which really touched me, you can really feel all the emotions she puts into the words. There is also one of her own songs that I really like, it is called “Losing Either Way”, this song has a more rocky sound, & is a bit more Uptempo. The thing I like about Mindy’s Music is that you can feel that she is very passionate about it & when she sings you can hear  & feel all the emotions she puts into the songs, which I think is very rare when you listening to Music & then she has an AMAZING voice!

Mindy has been so lovely & sweet to contribute to my Blog by answering some questions, so you can get to know more about her & her Music. These are the questions I asked & Mindy’s answers.

*Name:  Mindy Braasch

*Age: 19

*Where do you live?  Nashville, Tennessee

*When did you know you wanted to become a singer? I’ve been singing for as
long as I can remember, but I decided I wanted do sing and perform as a
career when I was 12.

*What does making music mean to you? Music is how I express myself. Music
is a way to release emotion, as well as share emotion with others. I’m
always amazed at how music can transcend age, cultural, and racial
boundaries.

*Where do you get the inspiration for your songs? I get inspiration from
my own life and experiences, as well as from books I read, and movies I
watch.

What is the biggest moment of your music career? I’ve had a lot of moments
in my career so far that I’m very grateful for. One highlight of my career
so far was getting to open for Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.

What do you like to do when you’re not singing? I’m singing and writing
music most of the time. But I also like to create videos for my songs,
vlog, read, and bake (I recently got into baking).

What is your all time favorite song (not your own)? I really don’t have an
all-time favorite song. I love so many, it’s really hard to choose just
one. But one that comes to mind right now is “Radioactive” by Imagine
Dragons.

Which one of your own songs is your favorite & why? That’s also really hard
to say! My songs are kind of like my babies, and it’s difficult to pick a
favorite. “Life’s A Song” is the title track of my EP, though, so I’ll go
with that one for now. 😉

What are your dreams for the future? I plan on continuing to pursue my
music career. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given so far,
and I’m excited to see what new opportunities arise.

Do you have any good advice for upcoming singers? Hard work is so
important. Talent will only get you so far; there are lots of skills
artists need that require lots of hard work and training on top of talent.
The music business is tough, but if you’re pursuing this for the love
of music, then that will get you through. 🙂

Go listen to Mindy’s music on her web-page www.mindybraasch.com, her youtube channel or twitter, & download her songs, I would really recommend it, again her music is amazing.

A very big THANKS to Mindy for taking time to answer the questions.

Have a lovely Monday.

Mille ♥
