As I wrote in my previous post about my London trip (read it here), I met up with Carolin, she is also a blogger & has the amazing blog Style Lingua.
I have talked to Carolin for a long time on Twitter & I’m a regular reader of her Blog & I’m so glad that she wanted to spent some of her Saturday with me, while I was in London.
I’m starting to get very familiar with London, but there are still a lot of places I haven’t been to & don’t know about, Carolin knows London very well, so she showed me some great places & areas in London!
We met up in Westfield Stratford for a short stroll & a cup of Coffee, I’ve never been to Stratford before, I must say that it is such a lovely area very modern & chic. Even the outside area around Westfield was amazing.
I also got a glimpse of the Olympic Stadium, before we moved on to the next place, she wanted to show me!
We went from Stratford to Greenwich & then to the Greenwich Observatory, on our way to the Observatory we went through this very lovely victorian tunnel under the Thames.
The Observatory was through a park & on top of a very steep hill, it was a bit hard to get to it, but definitely worth it. The view from the top was amazing, you could see a lot of London & also the London Eye.
The Observatory is know for the prime median, so you can say that I’ve been in two places at ones;)
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best that day, but it was okay I can only imagine how beautiful the view & park would be on a sunny summer day, when I go back to London I’m definitely exploring more of the Greenwich area
After a seeing the Observatory we went to Canary Wharf, this is also an area I haven’t been to before, again a very lovely & modern area. I love the modern parts of London as much as I love the old parts.
At Canary Wharf we went on a little stroll through the shopping center & through the area, as I said in my previous post I just love walking around & looking at my surroundings!
Another thing is that I really wanted to visit the Sky Garden, but I didn’t this time, but Carolin showed me the Roof Garden in Canary Wharf instead. This was a very small & cosy garden with trees, lights & paths.
The cloudy weather & the starting twilight made it so lovely going through that Roof Garden, it just made me think about it on a spring day with a cup of coffee, just sitting & enjoying the atmosphere!
So this is what Carolin & I did on a Saturday in London, it was such a great day & Carolin is a very sweet girl & it was great to spent time with her & I hope it isn’t the last time. I’m so glad to finally have met Carolin in person & that she took some time to show me around London.
This is one of the amazing things about blogging, new friendships are made!
Carolin if you’re reading this thank you ones again for a fun day & I’ll see you the next time I’m in London, which is soon, hopefully:)
